Our 2026 Update and Farm Stand Schedule

I'm sitting here writing this on April 9th. It's sunny, 55 degrees, and feels like we are finally entering spring. For those of you in New England, you know that it has been a long, cold, and snowy winter.

Our Summer 2025 season was our best one yet. In addition to being vendors at the Sturbridge Farmers' Market, we opened our small farm stand. Being at the end of a dead-end road in a rural town, we found that most of our customers were from the neighborhood or were locals to Union. This made us feel like we were part of the community, and we enjoyed seeing regular faces each week. A special shout out to our neighbor, John, our most loyal customer! We also really appreciated the folks who drove from severals towns (and even states!) away to visit us - particularly during fig season. We are always surprised by and grateful for the fig enthusiasts!

The season ended with us welcoming our new Guernsey cow named "Precious". You may have seen from our past yearly updates that we've had a dairy cow before. Unfortunately, the experience ended tragically with her having a horrible case of mastitis. Even our wonderful vet couldn't help her. Thankfully, we've had a much better experience this round. Joe now wakes up every morning bright and early to milk her. He has really enjoyed making butter, ricotta cheese, and yogurt, and we are all enjoying the fruits of his labor.

After a long winter, we were reminded of the importance of spending time with family and making the most out of the warmer months. While we still plan to farm, open the farm stand (a bit later than planned), and join the Sturbridge Farmers' Market, we have brought in some friends to help us out so that we can have some much needed fun this summer. You may see them around the market on Sundays instead of Joe.

Our market and farm stand schedule here on our website and will send regular updates through Instagram and Facebook. Make sure to follow us on either social media platform for any last-minute changes that might arise due to family obligations.
